Morning Gratitude Student! Get your journal/blank paper and a pen. They say laughter is the best medicine. Today’s Word of Power is Jokes. Did you hear the one about the...

Jokes, laughter, a beautiful smile—these all can help make you happy. Try it now. Smile.
Do it. Sit there for a few moments and just smile
Feel your cheeks rise, your lips open, your teeth revealed. Think of something that makes you laugh, a joke you heard, a funny incident that happened to you. Feel your energy change, your spirit lift.
Laughing at yourself amidst the daily trials and tribulations of life is a great way of letting go of stress. Why dwell on the past? Let it go! Enjoy the experience for what it was. Laugh it off and move on.
Write down your favourite Joke(s) now. When was the last time you told it? You know at least one Joke: “Why did the chicken cross the road?”—okay, it’s NOT a good one, lol, but, it IS a Joke!
Even if you are not a Joke teller, what is a funny story about yourself that you can share with someone? Tell it to yourself now.
Comic strips are a wonderful source of laughter and amusement. Which were your favourite as a kid? There are great collected editions of many popular comic strips at your local book store or library. Check out the laughs!
Comedic movies are fabulous for getting laughs too. Have or host a movie night. Make some popcorn, sit back and bust a gut! What’s your fav comedy?
Give the gift of laughter as often as possible. If you don’t consider yourself a funny person then share your smile
Words of Power Challenge: A friend taught me to say hello to every single person we passed while on the running trail. I practice this every time I walk (I don’t run anymore
) by someone no matter where. Say hello with a smile, you will never know the difference you made in that person’s day. It will make a positive difference in your day as well!

My Words of Power: I am...I have a lot to say about me apparently lol :D I feel energized with today's reflections! Check them out here.
"I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy." I read these words years ago and committed this affirmation to memory. I recite it daily. It helps me remember who I choose to be!
I can achieve anything I set my mind to — anything!
I am present in each moment. I breathe in deeply. I exhale deeply.
I am a powerful creator. Thoughts become things. I choose positive thoughts.
Everything is always working out for me!
Everything IS ALWAYS working out for me!
Love thy neighbour as thyself.
I am grateful to be who I am.
I deserve happiness — now — always — and in ALL ways.

I am —“Self”, “Me”, “I”. Take a moment to think about who you are, not the physical body but, the spiritual being.
What makes you feel good? Excited? Joyful? Loving? Write them down all down in your journal or on your blank paper now. I am so happy and grateful now that...I feel excited when...
These are the actions that create and sustain a happy you. You have identified these personal happiness triggers—do them as often as you can. Think about them when you are having a sad or fearful moment in order to immediately change to a more positive feeling.
I AM whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy! I read this statement years ago and committed it to memory. I repeat it may times a day, while I workout or before bed in order to calm myself and concentrate on me.
Words of Power Challenge: Take each of these words: whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy—write out in details what makes you whole, perfect, etc. Green Hat i.e. do not edit yourself. Anything and everything goes. When you can no longer think/write anymore, move onto the next word. Go!
The time you invest in creating a happy you will manifest into the life of your dreams. Focus on happiness, love, joy, peace, harmony—these are the wonderful experiences of life you are meant to enjoy!

Hello Gratitude Explorer! It’s YOU TIME! Today’s Word of Power is Hobbies. What do YOU like to do—for yourself?

What do you like to do for yourself? Activities to enjoy are as numerous as the stars and, unique to every individual.
Devoting “ME TIME” in your busy schedule is key to your happiness. In order to be happy, healthy and able to give to others, you must first give to yourself. Hobbies are one important way to experience enjoyment while being present and creating for yourself.
In your journal or on your blank paper, write all the Hobbies you have participated in. Be sure to include athletic clubs, social organizations, collections you maintain, items you create.

When did you participate in these activities?
Why did you start? Why did you stop?
Why did you start? Why did you stop?
Which new Hobbies would you like to try?
What supplies or equipment do you need to try these today?
Pick one and do it! Sign up for lessons at your local community centre. Visit the local group chapter in your area. Ask for a free lesson to see if it’s something you’d like to pursue.
Make time for yourself. Learning different skills and meeting new people opens your mind to new possibilities. Be open to enjoying something you love. Do it for you! If it is an activity you can share with family and friends—great—BUT, be sure your motives for this is because YOU enjoy it!
Do not force it on others. When they see how much fun you are having, they’ll want to join you!
