Gratitude from A to Z

F...Family—How do you relate?

F...Family—How do you relate?
Hello Fellow Gratitude Weaver! With your pen & journal (or horizontal blank paper), take a few minutes to contemplate today’s Word of Power—Family. How do you relate?
Family are the people in your life to whom you are related by blood or marriage—the key word here is “relate”. How do you relate? Interact? Communicate? Love? Forgive your Family? These people are usually the closest to us however, sometimes those whom we treat both best and worst.

It is said it takes a village to raise a child. This community starts with your Family. Today’s Family unit is unique but the key is to always nurture love and respect for each other.

When was the last time you told your mom, dad, son, daughter, sister or brother that you loved them?
Do you have favourite cousins, friends or neighbours that you consider family? Have you thanked them lately for being part of your life?

Think of a particular familial relationship that you would like to heal or make better.
Who is this Family member? What do they mean to you?
What happened to strain the relationship?
What can you do to make it better today?
What is their phone number or email?
What are you going to say to them? Write it out in detail now.

In forgiveness there is freedom. Apologizing to yourself and letting go of past perceived mistakes allows you to be open and forgiving of others. Life is short. Do not waste precious moments of life in anger against others as you are only hurting yourself.

The greatest gift is to love yourself and, without expectation, to be loved in return.

E...Empowerment—Empower Yourself

E...Empowerment—Empower Yourself
Greetings Gratitude Cultivator! Take a few moments to sit down with your pen & journal (or horizontal blank paper). Today’s Word of Power is Empowerment.

Whatever makes you happy or gives you pleasure, makes you stronger. Positive energy and thoughts attract more of the same. Focus on love, gratitude, joy, happiness—these positive feelings will transform your life.

Words of Power are created by you. They shape your life and can motivate you, through love, to attract more of the same into your experience.

Think of a time in your life when you felt in control, in the driver’s seat and happy that life was going exactly as planned. Describe it in detail now.
Was it at home or at work?
Who else was involved?
What lead up to this/these feeling(s)?
What was the outcome?
Why were you so happy about how well things turned out?

In describing these feelings and Empowerment situations in your life, you will notice common threads of happiness, joy and love because you were fully present in these moments and doing your best to obtain favourable results without expectation. Empowerment is giving yourself love, confidence and strength to multiply the happiness in your life.

You are a powerful creator, choose in favour of yourself and your happiness.
