C...Communication — Let's be truthful

C...Communication — Let's be truthful
Hello Gratitude Journeyer! Grab your pen & journal book (or blank paper). Let’s journey through today’s Word of PowerCommunicationLet’s be truthful...

Truthful dialogue (thoughts + words + actions) with yourself and others is essential to your own happiness.

You have heard the saying, “The truth shall set you free”. Think about this statement. The truth is, what is best for you—not what others say is best for you.

Search your heart. Recall a time you felt truly happy.
Where were you?
What time of day was it?
Did you share this moment with anyone?
Were you inside or outdoors?
Describe your surroundings and entire experience in detail now.

In this special moment you just described, you were happy because you were enjoying a moment of truth with yourself. In order to enjoy each and every moment of life, you need recall the feelings in this experience, no matter what may be happening around you at present. You have the power and control to choose how you react. This self-control, choosing in favour of yourself i.e. to remain calm, happy, grateful, etc., in each moment of your day allows for truthful self-communication and personal freedom to become your reality. This experience of power will create abundant joy and happiness as you practice truthful communication with yourself and others.

“The truth shall set you free.” ~ Jesus

B is for Body

B is for Body
Greetings! Get your pen and journal book or, a clean sheet of paper, preferably blank, and turn it landscape (11 x 8.5). Today’s Word of Power is Body. Let’s begin...

Your Body is your temple. It requires both physical and spiritual nutrition. They say, “you are what you eat” so, love and respect your Body by feeding it foods that are worthy of keeping it in optimal condition. Daily exercise, walking, riding a bike, etc. is also key to clearing your mind and relieving stress.

As for the spiritual side of your healthy Body, think of a time when you loved how in shape you were. Recall how perfect you looked in the mirror, how well your clothes fit. How high was your energy level?
What foods were you eating?
Were you getting enough sleep?
How did you feel about yourself?
How high was your confidence level?

Write down all the things you love about your Body. If you body is not currently in an optimal state for you, document exactly how you would prefer it actually to be. What small changes can you make in your daily routine to make your perfect Body a reality?

It is important to know AND believe that you are perfect just the way you are. That you are created in the image and likeness of the Creator. In order to sustain your life in healthy and productive ways, you must love and nurture your physical and spiritual self. In being aware of what you prefer, you can deliberately choose Words of Power to create your new reality!

Words of Power — A Guided Gratitude Journey from Animals to Zen. Let's begin...

Words of Power — A Guided Gratitude Journey from Animals to Zen. Let's begin...
I wrote this book during the winter of 2011/2012 when I was working as the Office Manager at a ski resort in northern BC. I am very excited to share it with you now...join me on this weekly journey of gratitude.

Wishing you a warm welcome to Words of Power—A Guided Gratitude Journey from Animals to Zen

Let’s begin...Get yourself a pen and a clean sheet of paper, preferably blank and turn it landscape (11 x 8.5) or start a new journal book you have been saving just for this.

Write your full name (first, middle and last). Notice how you hold your pen as you write or print. Feel the weight of the pen in your hand as it glides across the page. The physical act of writing is a creative process. You are a powerful creator. Writing is effortless! ALL your written Words of Power are this easy!

A Word of Power has been specially selected for each letter of the alphabet—from Animals to Zen. You will be guided on a weekly journey of gratitude and contemplation using your creative power of writing to bring gratefulness to the page and increased love into your life.

Let’s get started...
Animals, especially as pets, are a wonderful addition to your life. They love unconditionally, can sense when you are ill or sad and, are just happy to be in your presence.Take a few moments to think back on your childhood pets. What animal(s) are you living with now? Reflect on experiences with animal on farms, at the zoo or in the wild. Make a list of every animal you have actually physically touched or seen alive, in person.

Let’s journey onward to your first family pet...what was the animal’s name?
What kind of animal were they?
Male or female?
How old were they when they joined your family?
How old were you?
What are your two favourite memories of them?
How did they make you laugh?
Where did they sleep?
Did you bathe them?
How did loving your pet make you feel?
Write down anything else you can remember.

When connecting these thoughts together, become aware of the gratitude you feel for the joy of your pet(s) and experiences with Animals.

Love is unconditional.
